Atelier Solis is a small zero-waste fashion project specializing in demi-couture clothing. Our mission is to create high-quality, luxurious garments while being productively and consciously aware of our environment. Scroll down to view the Fall/Winter collection: "A Queen's Winter."
Our Project DNA
Our DNA is made up of daring silhouettes, and rich embroideries. Hours and hours are spent on handmade embroideries, preparation, and experimental techniques.
Sustainability
When the word "couture" is used, sustainability doesn't come to mind. When referring to Atelier Solis, we can assure you it does! We can also assure our audience that not only are our garments made meticulously, diligently, & skillfully but with zero-waste. Shown here are the scraps, remnants, & threads from our collections.
Behind the Collection
For this collection creative director, Javier Solis experimented with heavy embroidery to adorn shapes, and tweed-like embellishments. Also, fabric manipulation, and soft-tailoring is a key aspect in the collection, used to accentuate, and dramatically invoke the spirit of what is haute couture.
Our Couture Process
The first step to commission Atelier Solis Couture is to contact the Atelier through social media using Instagram or Facebook. Details such as which garment, pricing, and customization will be discussed during a virtual call. Next, measurements of the client will be taken and a toile, or prototype of muslin will be created then fitted on the client. Here a toile is shown.
Once the toile is fitted and adjusted, to perfection, work on the real fabric begins, and depending on the design, embroideries are started. A time-consuming, and fastidious process. The soul of what couture is. Beautiful embroidery is shown.
